Hi, I am Wendy Kimelman!
Pursuing my dream of being a mental health counselor was a long and varied road.
As a registered nurse for over 20 years, I often felt frustrated trying to help my patients recover from acute and chronic illnesses. I often wondered why some of my clients would respond to their treatments and others did not. I wondered why some clients seemed more able to bounce back, experiencing resilience, while others were not able to experience such resilience.
I began to learn that there was more to our care of clients than just the medical care they received. I have been in awe of my client’s and their ability to manage difficult and traumatic experiences.

While completing my Masters Degree in Counseling from Rollins College, I have participated in the study and practice of therapeutic treatments that support clients to overcome difficult challenges and overwhelming experiences.
My hope for my clients is that they live their best lives. Supporting my clients to set goals, create strong coping strategies, and manage challenges for themselves, in their relationships, with families, in their jobs, and with the world brings me a great deal of satisfaction.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to support growth and goal achievement for the clients I serve. If I can assist you in the process of overcoming obstacles and becoming your best version of yourself, please contact me.
